Benchmark Sustainable Livestock

Since January 1, 2016, Ionization with carbon brushes has been included in the Sustainable Livestock Farming Standard (MDV) for the Particulate Part. This technology developed and produced by VekostarAgri - processed into a low-energy, handy and safe product in the form of a lamp - ensures a substantial reduction of particulate matter in stable air. 30 points have been awarded to this innovative solution and apply to all animal species. MDV stables have a lower environmental impact and are provided with measures for better animal health and welfare. With this, an MDV stable contributes to making livestock farming more sustainable. Stables that have obtained the Sustainable Animal Husbandry Certificate can participate in the MIA and Vamil tax schemes. For dairy stables there is also a link with the Green Projects Regulation. To obtain the MDV Certificate, farmers must earn a number of points. The 30 points awarded to Ionization with carbon brushes contribute to this. In addition to installing exclusively ionization, VekostarAgri also offers the possibility to combine this with full-spectrum LED lighting. In that case, additional MDV points will be awarded.
